Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to support our nursing staff and provide high-quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient well-being, and help maintain a clean and safe care environment. This role is essential in ensuring patients receive respectful, attentive, and supportive care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Report changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Support nurses with clinical tasks and documentation as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and common areas.
- Help transport patients to appointments or procedures as needed.
- Adhere to infection control, health, and safety guidelines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized Assistant in Nursing (AIN) or Nursing Assistant course.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically able to assist with lifting, transfers, and other mobility tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a hospital, aged care, or community health setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Bilingual ability (if applicable to facility needs).
