Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will work with materials such as brick, block, stone, and concrete to build or repair walls, structures, and other surfaces. Precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials to construct or repair structures such as walls, walkways, chimneys, and foundations.
• Mix mortar or grout and apply it to surfaces using trowels or other tools.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet project specifications.
• Cut and shape materials using hand and power tools.
• Ensure alignment, leveling, and proper setting of materials.
• Perform repairs to existing masonry structures as needed.
• Clean tools and work surfaces at the end of each day.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mason (minimum [e.g., 2–5] years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of masonry tools and equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working long hours outdoors.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in masonry is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required).

Prefered Qualifications:

• Experience with both structural and decorative masonry.
• Knowledge of restoration techniques for older brick or stonework.
